Things 20, 21, 22, & 23

I thought I knew everything there was to know about You Tube. I am a frequent user of the site, especially looking at videos for class. I did learn a thing or two though about how to upload videos and taking videos onto a Power Point.

Here is a link to one of our teacher’s favorite characters!!!! This one wasn’t shown at the beginning of the year.

I use to listen to a radio program in the mornings called the Ace and TJ show, but it was taken off the air. Until there was another program I liked just as well, I would listen to the Ace and TJ show through a Pod cast. I subscribed through Itunes for free and just sync my Ipod when I got home. I listened to it a lot at first but then I slowly stopped just because of time and schedule. That is really the only time I ever used pod casting.

The links of the 23 Things page would not pull up at school, so I just went to ebooks.com. I really hate books on tape. I just can’t make myself listen to one. When I read, I want to mark my text and question my text and think about what I’m reading. I want to analyze and reread. However, I do realize how books on tape could be very useful for students though. Students who have trouble reading could really benefit from having a book read to them, but I still don’t think that you get everything out of a book by listening to it on tape.

I really liked doing this program, but I already knew how to do a lot of the things that were taught. I learned this stuff because I grew up with a lot of it. I had never blogged before, but I knew how to do it. I am so glad I found ZoHo writer through this program. I really like using it. I thought flickr was fun. Those are the two things that stuck out in my mind the most. I can see how this program would be difficult and take much longer if you did not have a lot of web experience.

Take a look at schooltube and teachertube. These are both designed for educational settings.

Hi Melissa,
Your youthful comfort with technology is proof that the 23 Things project is perhaps more valuable for us old people. Be that as it may.... What is this ZoHo application you mentioned? Why should we want to replace MS Word? Just wondering...
